leak rate measurement





i created a system of leak testing standards and built out the equipment to use them for oxo. for this project i built a leak rate measurement device using off the shelf along with custom fabricated  components, as well as building out a system for using the device on different product types. my leak rate testing system centers around the use of a laboratory grade flow rate sensor. by measuring the flow rate at a specified pressure, comparative tests between multiple product samples can be accurately measured. 
     

for this proof of concept, i was conducting comparative testing on food storage container lids.
